Abstract: HathiTrust started in 2008 as a partnership of academic and research institutions with an initial focus on preserving and providing access to digitized book and journal content from member library collections around the world. In the years since this remains a core tenant of what HathiTrust does. By focusing on numerous collaborative collection services, HathiTrust is able to contribute to the world’s research, scholarship, and the common good. This talk will include an overview of the history and mission of HathiTrust with a focus on how our collaborative collection services are key to achieving everything we do.
