The nature of persistent identifiers not only requires technical capabilities but also requires communities to bring them together. For PIDs to be useful to the community, the persistence of identifiers needs to be preserved and maintained. In this session we aim to explore the role of community in the usage and adoption of persistent identifiers. We look to understand which components of the community and what sort of ecosystems would nurture the success of PIDS and continue to make it persistent over time.enhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2persistent identifierspersistencerole of communityperzistentní identifikátoryperzistencerole komunityUnderstanding what makes persistent identifiers “persistent”conference paper
