Publikace Otevřený přístup PIDs and Open Infrastructure: International Collaboration for the Greater Good(National Library of Technology, 2024) Aspler, John; Rabun, Sheila; Stathis, Kelly; Hauschke, ChristianIn this session, we will explore examples of widely used, global open source software platforms (OJS/OPS, DSpace Repository, and VIVO), and discuss how international collaborations, as well as the creation of global funding opportunities by ORCID and DataCite, have been integral to the success of the integration of PIDs in these systems. First, we will share our personal experiences bringing together a global network of collaborators who have pushed forward the development of the ORCID API integrations for both OJS/OPS and DSpace. Second, we will explore the collaborative work toward improving documentation and encouraging the use of the DataCite API integration within DSpace. Third, we will hear from the international VIVO community about their plans to make improvements to the ORCID API integration in VIVO.Publikace Otevřený přístup Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information: Coordinating Action to Promote a System-wide Transition to Open Research Information(National Library of Technology, 2024) Kramer, Bianca; Hauschke, ChristianAfter introducing the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information earlier during PIDfest, this unconference session invites interested participants to discuss potential ways research organizations and funders could coordinate action towards open research information. We will be collecting good examples, ideas for actions, and existing barriers.Publikace Otevřený přístup Bridging the Gap in Research Information with PIDs for Academic Events(National Library of Technology, 2024) Hagemann-Wilholt, Stephanie; Kraus, Robin; Hauschke, ChristianIn this presentation, the service and several use-cases of PIDs for academic events will be introduced. This includes e.g. usage in current research information systems, and for investigations in the field of science on science: Conferences have a specific role in the scientific system structure, which also reflects the respective social conditions (e.g. on topics such as sustainability, equity of access).,Furthermore an analysis of the Datacite DOIs and the associated metadata will be provided. The overview includes coverage of different properties, eg. spatial and temporal data, contributing organizations, or the distribution of the currently available DOIs on Fields of Science which represent various reuse scenarios for ConfIDent data.Publikace Otevřený přístup VIVO PIDs(National Library of Technology, 2024) Hauschke, ChristianVIVO is a collaborative, open-source software and ontology designed to represent scholarly endeavors. It is sustained by its members and facilitates the recording, editing, searching, browsing, and visualization of academic activities. VIVO actively promotes the exhibition of scholarly achievements, research discoveries, expert identification, network analysis, and the assessment of research impact. Flexibility of the VIVO platform and its underlying ontology allows easy expansion to support various domains of scholarly engagement. There are more than 70 instances of VIVO across the world, including 20 instances in Europe.
