ORCID’s Multi-faceted Approach to Increasing Global Adoption

Abstract

During this session, we will discuss what ORCID has done over the past few years to build momentum for global uptake of ORCID, including how we revitalised several founding partnerships to develop the Global Participation Fund, which awards grants supporting the development of local expertise and communities of practice, and developing new partnership models with organisations that have both local knowledge and resources. We’ll also talk about how we re-tooled our membership tiering with an eye toward equity, as well as how we launched a new regional consortia model to allow smaller countries to benefit from communities of practice in their regions.
