Collaborations between global PID infrastructure providers and Indonesian stakeholders, including the government and grassroots communities, contributed to support for the development and standardization of PIDs in Indonesian research. Indonesia's PIDs have a wide range of applications in local research products, contributing to research and supporting the open science movement. However, there is an urgent need to educate wider researchers, institutions, and legislators on the significance and efficient use of PIDs in achieving open science objectives. In this presentation, we will explore these points in greater detail, specifically examining the policies and procedures related to data and research outputs in Indonesia.
