Research Portal Denmark: A PID Founded National Research Output Infrastructure

Abstract

Research Portal Denmark is an emerging national research output infrastructure relying heavily on PIDs. The importance of PIDs is especially important as the infrastructure links and connects different content types such as Danish publications, Danish patents and Danish grants from multiple data providers both - commercial, open and national. In the presentation we will share the practical experiences gained working with PIDs – both the joys and pains. We would also like to share/and discuss experiences with trying to bring awareness and understanding of the PID benefits with various Danish stakeholders – research institutions, funders and other actors in the community.
