Characteristics of PID Policies: A Comprehensive Approach to Supporting Assessment

Abstract

This presentation will showcase innovative methodologies employed during the workshop, wherein participants were afforded the opportunity to evaluate the efficacy and suitability of PID policies delineated by two fictitious PID service providers constituting examples of a bad and a good PID policy. This achievement was facilitated through the utilisation of a tool developed by the FAIRCORE4EOSC project known as the Compliance Assessment Toolkit. This tool enables the evaluation of PID policies against a predefined set of criteria derived from the EOSC PID Policy. This interactive exercise provided invaluable insights into the practical implementation and governance of PID policies, thereby contributing to accelerated efforts to defining PID practices as part of PID or data policies within the research community.
