dc.description.abstractHow can scientists or software integrate the data into analysis processes using PIDs? The dynamic developments face major challenges, which consists of the multitude of PID systems used and organisations involved. Unambiguous identification of information has always been an issue that cuts across all specialist areas. Identifiers have also been developed in various disciplines for different purposes and are still actively used today. The PID Metaresolver consists of a scalable backend, an API for use in automated processes and a UI for resolving and checking PIDs. To be inclusive the PID Metaresolver is extensible and also allows new PID service providers to register their service.en
