Out of Scope? Open science monitoring and grey literature

Abstract

Příspěvek hodnotí, zda a jak EU a francouzský Open Science Monitor poskytují kvalitativní a kvantitativní údaje o šedé literatuře, jako jsou např. konferenční příspěvky, vysokoškolské kvalifikační práce, zprávy, working papers nebo preprinty. Jak je šedá literatura zahrnuta ve zdrojích dat, v metodice a ukazatelích, v publikovaných průzkumech a případových studiích? Autoři zkontaktovali projektové týmy Monitoru, aby se dozvěděli více o jejich budoucích projektech a zda zamýšlejí věnovat větší pozornost nekomerční oblasti akademické komunikace.The paper will assess if and how the EU and the French Open Science Monitors provide qualitative and quantitative data on grey literature such as conference papers, theses and dissertations, reports, working papers or preprints. How is grey literature included in their data sources, in the methodology and indicators, in published surveys and case studies? The authors will contact the Monitor project teams to learn more about their future projects and if they intend to give more importance to the non-commercial part of academic communication.
